New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been playing with broken ribs according to multiple media outlets.
According to Shalise Manza Young of the Providence Journal, Brady broke the ribs during a preseason game against the Washington Redskins back in August.
He then re-aggravated the injury during a week 11 match-up against the New York Jets.
There is some debate as to when the injury actually occurred.
Contradictory to Young’s report, Charlie Casserly of CBS reports that Brady is believed to have broken his ribs during a week 13 contest against the Miami Dolphins.
Regardless, his injury is not expected to be a factor during the team’s playoff run other than to pressure the o-line to continue to give him maximum protection.
Brady is active for the Patriots’ regular season finale Sunday against the Houston Texans.
