NFL Agent Terry Bolar told the Associated Press on Thursday he’s reached a settlement with Buffalo Bills CB Terrence McGee, who filed a bilking lawsuit in 2007, after signing a contract extension that included $5-million in bonus money.
Bolar, who maintained he did nothing wrong, issued the following in a public statement:
“After multiple years, I’m content to announce the dispute between my former client Terrence McGee has ended,” said Bolar. “I’m happy that Terrence and I were able to resolve this misunderstanding amicably, and now each party will be able to move on and focus on their professional career. I would like to say that this has been an ongoing matter for a long time, and that it has felt like a rain cloud hanging over my head.”
“After you go through something like this, you learn to keep moving forward. You can’t allow a situation to continue to block your future blessings in store for you. I thank my family, friends and attorney for all their support throughout the years as I dealt with this ordeal. I wish Terrence, his family, and his business associates the best on their future endeavors.”
