Report: Marcus Vick Involved in Brother’s Birthday Party Shooting

Michael Vick

A new report suggests Michael Vick's brother Marcus was involved in the shooting.

Marcus Vick, brother of Michael Vick, was involved in the shooting at his brother’s 30th birthday party last week according to a report from Game 102.1 FM in Virginia Beach.

Radio hosts Johnny D. and Bartley Barefoot broke the news Wednesday afternoon and are standing by their sources who reported the younger Vick’s involvement according to Gregg Rosenthal at PFT.

If Marcus was involved in the shooting as the source alledges, it does fit with a report that stated he became agitated when he saw Quanis Phillips at the party.

Marcus told Phillips to “get lost” when he spotted him, which upset the soon to be shooting victim. Phillips slapped a piece of cake off a female partygoer’s plate which splattered on Vick.

“Michael didn’t react. I was surprised,” a witness told the NY Post.

“But Marcus was the one who reacted. He had this I-can’t-believe-this-just-happened, we’ve-been-disrespected look on his face. He was very agitated.”

The witness added that Phillips left the part screaming and carrying on outside the club. Five minutes later a shot rang out.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the shooter, whomever it may be, is expected to turn himself in some time in the near future.
