Report: Jerry Gray Joins Seahawks, Leaves Redskins

Jerry Gray

Jerry Gray

Washington Redskins secondary coach is leaving the team to join the Seattle Seahawks.

Gray was offered the same position on Pete Carroll’s staff on Friday and he accepted on Monday.

He now joins the Seattle staff that is lead by Gus Bradley, who was retained by the team according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Gray previously interviewed for the Redskins head coaching job, leading many to speculate that the team was trying to circumvent the league’s Rooney Rule.

The Seattle defense was ranked 24th in the NFL in 2009 and allowed over 24 points per game.
