Report: Favre Should Join Vikings By Aug. 18

Brett Favre

Favre should be at Vikings training camp by Aug. 18 according to Clayton.

For the second time in a month Brett Favre worked out with a high school squad in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

It appears to be another sign that the 40-year-old, who is yet to officially make a decision on whether he’ll play in 2010, has in fact made a decision.

ESPN’s John Clayton believes that Favre will join the Minnesota Vikings by August 18, but not sooner than that.

“He’s been angling this entire offseason to come back,” Clayton said on SportsCenter, alluding to Favre’s offseason ankle surgery. “He can miss a good portion of training camp.”

The Associated Press reports that Favre looked good on his surgically repaired ankle while throwing with a group from Oak Grove High School.

He didn’t talk with reporters following the work out.

We reported over the weekend that Favre Watch 2010 would hit overdrive this week. Let the games begin.
