Report: Eagles Interested in Vikings’ Ray Edwards

Ray Edwards

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards has drawn the interest of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Despite having a first-round tender on him, the Eagles are expected to “make a push” to get Edwards according Bob Grotz of the Delaware County Times.

The Vikings selected him in the fourth-round of the 2006 NFL Draft out of Purdue.

In 2009 Edwards registered 8.5 sacks and 51 tackles— both career bests.

After violating the NFL policy on steroid use he served a four game suspension in 2008.
