Report: Cowboys Put Patrick Crayton on Trade Block

Patrick Crayton

The Dallas Cowboys could have Patrick Crayton on the trade block

The rumor mill has been working overtime on the Dallas Cowboys receiving corps in the last 24 hours.

Yesterday we reported that the team was entertaining trade offers for Sam Hurd. Today a new report suggests that Patrick Crayton is also on the trade block.

Crayton skipped voluntary workouts during the offseason, but “swallowed his pride” and returned for the mandatory OTA sessions. All the while, he felt betrayed by the team according to Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com.

If the Cowboys are unable to secure a trade for Crayton there is a decent chance he will wind up among Saturday’s roster casualties according to MacMahon.

With an already deep receiving corps, the Cowboys shouldn’t necessarily need Crayton, but keeping him around would be among the best insurance policies the team could have.

If not, he should have no trouble catching on with another team.
