The Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning are yet to begin talks on a new contract.
The two sides may begin talking soon, but there has been no dialogue yet according to Michael Lombardi of NFL.com.
Last week Colts president Bill Polian hinted that the two sides had begun working on a new deal. That doesn’t appear to be the case, however.
With the looming locking out 2011 teams are hesitant to sign big money deals at the moment.
There is some speculation that the Colts will let Manning’s contract expire and place the franchise tag on him after next season.
That option won’t please New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis who is hoping to await Manning’s contract so that he can base his on demands off it.
