Justin Fargas
One day after being released by the Oakland Raiders for reportedly failing a physical, running back Justin Fargas is already setting up potential new homes.
Fargas will pay a visit to the Kansas City Chiefs shortly and has been contacted by several other teams including the San Francisco 49ers.
“That could be something,” Fargas said of the heading to 49ers, per David white of the San Francisco Chronicle. “We’ll see. Obviously there’s going to be a time of transition for me.”
As for his release from the Raiders, Fargas was gracious and professional.
“I was told by the coach that they were moving in a different direction,” Fargas said. “They said it was strictly about money. … I know some things were put out there, I guess they said I didn’t pass a physical. I’m a little disappointed by the way it happened but I understand it’s a business.
“I definitely appreciate being able to spend seven years as a Raider. I’ve always loved the Raiders. I just want to do everything I can to help another team win a championship. I still have a lot of football in me. I’m fine (health-wise).”
