Josh Cribbs
The Cleveland Browns and Josh Cribbs may not be as close to inking a new deal as originally thought.
Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer previously reported a deal between the two sides could be worked out as soon as next week.
However, PFT’s Mike Florio is reporting that scenario is highly unlikely.
Certainly progress has been made between the two sides, but Cribbs is seeking $10 million in guaranteed money while the the Browns are only offering $5 million in “likely” guarantees.
The two sides are expected to continue their talks in Indianapolis during the NFL Scouting Combine.
