Report: Bradford and Rams to Start Contract Talks This Week

Sam Bradford

Sam Bradford's agents will open contract discussions with the Rams this week.

Sam Bradford, the top pick in this year’s NFL Draft, hasn’t started talking about a contract with the St. Louis Rams, but that’s all about to change.

Agents for the quarterback are scheduled to travel to St. Louis to begin face-to-face contract discussion with the Rams later this week according to Mike Florio of PFT.

The two sides will have to work quickly in order for Bradford to be at training camp on time. Camp opens in just two weeks.

Early contract speculation has Bradford’s camp looking for a six-year, $80 million contract with $50 million guaranteed.

With only a handful of second-round picks signed, progress signing first-rounders is moving at a snail’s pace. Not a single first-day draft pick has signed.
