A report by a little known website is stirring up rumors that Bill Cowher will once again be meeting with the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after news broke that he would likely remain as a CBS studio analyst next season.

EastAurora.org, which was posted the story in question early on Monday morning, reports that Cowher may have been the main reason the team fired its coaching staff on Monday.

It was his “insistence” to assemble his entire coaching staff which caused the terminations.

Given that the article was posted before other reports stated Cowher will not return to coaching in 2010 and that the site it was posted on has a slogan of “We bring transparency to government” maybe you can’t trust the source.

Then again, it was a little known website devoted to all things Irish in America, including travel discounts to their mother land, that broke the news that Brian Kelly would be the coach at Notre Dame a full two weeks before the hiring actually took place.

Update: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Cowher is not in Buffalo and was “walking his dog” Tuesday morning… seriously.
