The Washington Redskins continue to play musical chairs with their kickers.

The team announced that they signed kicker Justin Medlock to a futures contract on Friday according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Medlock has a brief history with the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Rams, but made a name for himself in the Canadian Football League with the Toronto Argonauts.

After cutting Shaun Suisham last season for blowing a chip-shot field goal against the New Orleans Saints, the Redskins signed rookie kicker Graham Gano to a three-year contract.

Gano was two-for-two in field goal attempts, while going four-for-five on extra points.

Since 1995 the team has used 16 different kickers. Prior to that point Chip Lohmiller was the lone Redskins kicker for seven consecutive seasons.

If Gano is shown the door next season Medlock would make No. 17.
