Trent Williams reach a mult-year agreement with the Redskins early Friday.
The Washington Redskins and first-round pick Trent Williams agreed to terms on a multi-year deal early Friday morning.
The Oklahoma offensive tackle becomes the highest pick to sign thus far (selected No. 4 overall).
Williams will report to Redskins Park on Friday and should assume his spot atop the depth chart at left tackle immediately.
“We just got the deal done in the last couple of hours,” Williams’ agent Vincent Taylor told Jason Reid of the Washington Post shortly before six o’clock Friday morning. “There are just a couple of things we have to still work out, a few details to work out, but Trent plans to be there [at Redskins Park] to sign it and get going.”
Taylor declined to release terms of the deal, but was upbeat about the negotiation process.
“All I can say about that is the Redskins were great to work with and Trent is really looking forward to getting ready for the season,” Taylor said.
