Ravens Rookie Has Fractured Skull, Out for Training Camp

Sergio Kindle suffered a fractured skull and will miss all of training camp.

The news is not good for Baltimore Ravens rookie linebacker Sergio Kindle.

The second-round draft pick suffered a fractured skull during a fall last week at a friend’s house in Austin, Texas. He will miss the entire training camp, severely dampening his prospects for a strong rookie season.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh stated that Kindle fell down the stairs because he took a wrong turn in the dark inside the house.

“I was really disappointed about that,” Harbaugh told reporters Monday, per Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post. “It was tough for him … It didn’t sound like it was too serious, and then it sounded like it was serious.

“They held him back because he was showing some signs of a concussion and things like that. He’s not in any trouble, but he’s in the hospital for a reason.”

There is a strong chance that Kindle will be placed on the non-football injury list according to Wilson.
