The St. Louis Rams signed third-round draft choice (No. 65 overall) Jerome Murphy to a four-year deal on Saturday.
The 6-foot-3, 196 pound South Florida cornerback is the highest draft choice to sign thus far this year.
Murphy’s contract will pay him $2.727 million with a $937,739 signing bonus according to Gregg Rosenthal of PFT.
He as a two-year starter at USF and recorded 178 tackles, eight interceptions and two forced fumbles.
Murphy also dabbled in safety for the Bulls, but will likely stick to cornerback in the NFL.
In addition, the team signed seventh-round selection (No. 226 overall) George Selvie who also went to USF.
Lastly, fellow seventh-round pick LB Josh Hull out of Penn State also signed.
Both Selvie and Hull signed four-year deals according to Brian Stull of 101 ESPN.
Only two Rams draft picks remain unsigned. First-round choice QB Sam Bradford and second-rounder OT Rodger Saffold.
