Steven Jackson got into an altercation with 300-pound defensive tackle Gary Gibson
While the rest of the football world was squarely focused on Brett Favre returning to the Minnesota Vikings Tuesday, something interesting happened in St. Louis.
Rams running back Steven Jackson got into a scuffle with his 300-pound teammate, defensive tackle Gary Gibson.
Jackson ripped off Gibson helmet and tossed it several feet away according to Nate Latsch of FOX Sports.
“The testosterone gets flaring out there a little bit during the day,” Gibson said after practice. “But once we go in the locker room everything is fine. It’s just one of those days. You’re going against the same guys every day, there’s going to be a little animosity sometimes.”
The big defensive tackle added that he and Jackson “hugged it out” following practice.
