Rams Get Oklahoma Connection with Clayton and Bradford

The Baltimore Ravens traded wide receiver Mark Clayton to the St. Louis Rams for an undisclosed draft pick Monday afternoon.

Clayton, a 2005 first-round draft pick out of Oklahoma, fell down the Ravens depth chart and was ultimately no longer needed after the team signed free agent receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh earlier in the day.

In St. Louis Clayton has the opportunity to start fresh with a fresh, young quarterback in Sam Bradford who will benefit from having another veteran on the roster. Of course the Oklahoma bond doesn’t hurt matters either.

Entering his sixth NFL season, Clayton has 234 receitions for 3,116 yards and 12 touchdowns.
