Raiders Won’t Show 49ers Everything, Saving Something for Regular Season

Jason Campbell and company are likely to hold things back Saturday.

It’s not often that two NFL teams will meet in both the preseason and regular season, but it does happen.

And because it’s happening with Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers this season, both teams are likely keep a lot protected in Saturday night’s game.

“Because we’re playing them later we probably won’t show everything we normally would,” Raiders head coach Tom Cable said Wednesday.

The third preseason game typically presents the most realistic simulation for the regular season. While the first-team is likely to see a good chunk of time, a lot of the playbook may remain tucked away while other teams around the league open it up a bit.
