Raiders Waste No Time in Preparing for Titans

Tom Cable and company wasted no time in getting ready for the Titans

After pairing down the roster to 53 — 54 at the time, actually — Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable wasted little time in getting ready for the season opener.

When asked what his goal was with practice Cable didn’t hesitate to say, “introduce Tennessee.”

The Raiders open the season on the road against the Titans on Sept. 12.

Of course preparing for the Titans wasn’t the only agenda for the team Saturday afternoon. Cable rewarded those who made the final roster (and Stevie Brown) with business as usual.

“Get started, some conditioning. We ran the team a little bit,” he said. “Introduce Tennessee and get started down that path getting ready to get into game plans and all that.”
