Bruce Gradkowski as a huge game in front of him Saturday against the 49ers
Headed into Saturday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, there are still plenty of questions for the Oakland Raiders to answer.
Will Darrius Heyward-Bey finally live up to the promise he showed in college?
If he can shine in the game like he has at points during practice the answer is yes. If, however, he continues to be injury plagued the answer is no.
The team is hoping for big things from him this season and even in Saturday’s game against the 49ers.
Who will be the team’s fullback?
That’s a question that nobody really knows. Tom Cable experimented by moving Alex Daniels off of his defensive end duties and into the backfield, but that didn’t last too long.
There is a chance that Raiders will pick up a released player with the impending roster cuts.
Can Jason Campbell perform?
Yes. If he has enough time to throw the ball and gets more comfortable with the offense.
There is no doubt that he is a vast improvement over JaMarcus Russell and should continued to get better as the season progresses.
Who will be his backup?
Kyle Boller has the inside track with Bruce Gradkowski having missed the last eight months with a knee injury. However, Gradkowski can slide right back into that roll with a strong performance this weekend.
Basically, it could go either way.
