In an interview with former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher, Plaxico Burress vowed to comeback to the NFL when he is released from prison.
“I will play again,” Burress said in the interview scheduled to air on CBS’ “NFL Today.”
The interview was conducted from the upstate New York prison where Burress is jailed. The former New York Giant and Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver told Cowher that he works out about 4 times per week to prepare for his comeback once he is released from prison.
“It’s not LA Fitness or Bally’s, but I do push-ups, sit-ups,” Burress said in the interview. “I make do.”
Burress, sentenced to 2 years in prison, is expected to serve 20 months with good behavior, and be released in spring 2011.
