Plaxico Burress has twice applied for work release with the NY State Dept. of Corrections.
Would the Oakland Raiders be a good fit for Plaxico Burress?
Absolutely, according to Vittorio Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle.
The former New York Giants wide receiver is currently nine months into a two-year sentence on gun charges and has twice applied for work release.
Burress, who turns 33 next month, likely has a few good years of football left in him — provided he can shake off the rust.
With Jason Campbell, whom the players have supreme confidence in, now on the roster Plax might just be able to do some good in the silver and black.
And if nothing else, what better fit for a guy coming out of the slammer than the Oakland Raiders?
