Bo Scaife returned to the Titans after persistent calls from Vince Young.
Persistent nagging from Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young got tight end Bo Scaife back on the practice field.
Scaife, who is entering his sixth season in the NFL, did not attend the majority of the team’s OTAs as he was seeking a better contract, which prompted the calls from Young.
“It was just something I felt inside; I was ready to come back,” Scaife said, per Mark Wheeler of the Nashville City Paper. “I missed four or five OTAs, and I got tired of VY calling me and telling me about practice. I just wanted to come back and get a little taste.”
He was the team’s franchise player in 2009 and signed a one-year tender worth $4.9 million this offseason. However, it’s still a long-term deal that he wants.
It’s hard to argue that he’s not worth locking up for the long haul. He led the Titans in receiving in 2008 and tacked on 45 catches and a touchdown last season.
