Julius Peppers

Shortly after the NFL free agency period officially began the number of suitors for Julius Peppers dropped down to the Washington Redskins and Chicago Bears.

The Philadelphia Eagles pulled out early due to the amount of money Peppers will cost according to Mike Florio of PFT.

Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks turned out not to be a serious bidder in the Peppers sweepstakes.

Moreover, there are rumblings that the Chicago Bears plan to “come out swinging” with their offer for the hottest free agent of the NFL.

Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune reported that Peppers plans to visit the Bears at some point on Friday and that the the team is the front-runner to land Peppers.

We heard earlier in the night that the Redskins were in the lead to land Peppers. So, it’s still anybody’s game.
