Bills’ Paul Posluszny Eyes Return vs. Jets in Week 4

Bills LB Paul Posluszny (right knee) looks to return for the team's Week 4 game vs. the New York Jets.

Bills LB Paul Posluszny should return to the team for their Week 4 game vs. the New York Jets after missing the past two games with a minor knee sprain.

“I think so,” said head coach Chan Gailey when BuffaloBills.com asked if the 25-year-old would be back for Sunday. ”I think he’ll make it back this week yes.”

Posluszny, who has been sidelined along with linebackers Kawika Mitchell and Reggie Torbor, is also confident he’ll be ready to go this weekend.

“I think as long as I can practice well during the week I should be able to play,” said Posluszny. “Tuesday and Wednesday will be big days just to make sure I’m progressing the way we want, but the plan is to get back out there on Sunday.

“It feels good right now, he added. “I know we still have a couple of days to get even better which is great. Everything feels good and we’re definitely on the right path to get out there on Sunday.”

The former Penn State standout suffered the injury when he tried to take down Ronnie Brown in the Bills’ 15-10 loss to Miami in Week 1. He left the game and did not return.

Posluszny has been a leading tackler for the Bills since the team took him in the second round of the 2007 draft. After having his rookie season cut short by a broken forearm, he recorded 110 tackles and an INT in 2008, and was named Buffalo’s Defensive MVP. Last season he tallied 111 tackles, 3 INTs, and 3 forced fumbles despite another injury shortened campaign.
