New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has pulled out of the Pro Bowl citing an unspecified injury.
He will be replaced by Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub, who led the league in passing.
Even though Brady didn’t specifically say which injury forced him to pull out, he has had his fair share of lumps this past season. His ribs, shoulder and a broken finger have all bothered him.
Knowing that he was unlikely to play in the game, Brady joked with reporters about his status after the team lost to the Baltimore Ravens in the opening round of the playoffs.
“We have our exit physicals tomorrow, so we’ll see what comes up,” he quipped, per the Boston Herald.
