Rob Petitti
The Carolina Panthers retained the services of offensive lineman Rob Petitti on Monday.
Petitti’s agent, Ralph Cindrich, broke the news on Twitter Monday morning.
The 6-foot-6, 327 pounder was selected in the sixth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He went on to play every snap that season.
He was claimed off waivers by the New Orleans Saints in 2006, but only played in one game that season.
His career also includes a stop in St. Louis with the Rams and with the Florida Tuskers of the UFL.
The Panthers signed Petitti at the close of last season to replace the injured Jeff Otah.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
