Panthers’ Jon Beason: “I Want T.O. On Our Team”

Terrell Owens

Terrell Owens would be welcomed on the Panthers roster afterall.

Less than 24 hours after blasting Terrell Owens in a live chat on NFL.com, Carolina Panthers linebacker Jon Beason is backpedaling.

“There’s no way T.O. could be a Panther,” Beason initially said. “He’s been a distraction in the locker room.”

Now, he is apologizing and claims he wants Owens on the team.

“I have to apologize for my comments regarding T.O.,” the Panthers linebacker posted on Twitter. “I personally would want him on our team in Carolina.”

Perhaps he’s singing a different tune because the Carolina Panthers are among the five teams reportedly interested in the veteran wide receiver.

There is also the possibility that Beason’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, got in his ear. Rosenhaus also represents Owens.

“He’s been a great WR for a very long time and will without a doubt be a hall of famer,” Beason said. “He’d be a great addition opposite Steve Smith.”
