Chad Ochocino
Chad Ochocinco would not have agreed to participate in ABC’s Dancing with the Stars if he didn’t have the blessing of Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis.
“I was nervous about it because if Coach Lew told me he didn’t want me to do it, I would have told the people ‘No,’ “ Ochocinco said in an interview with Bengals.com. “But he knows that football is always first and I’m not going to let this hurt my focus. He told me, ‘I think this will be good for you (physically).’ ”
The outspoken receiver also stated that the show won’t muck up his off-season training. Instead, he’s going to use the dancing to supplement his traditional workouts.
Missing time with off-season team sessions is also a non-issue as he plans to arrive back with the Bengals in mid-June—the same time he did last season.
Competing against Ochocinco on the show are: ESPN report Erin Andrews, singer Nicole Scherzinger, bachelor Jake Pavelka, former (still?) hottie Pamela Anderson, actor Aiden Turner, actress Shannen Doherty, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, actress Niecy Nash, reality star Kate Gosselin and Olympic gold medal winning figure skater Evan Lysacek.
