Justin Fargas
The pool of free agent running backs just got a little bit deeper.
The Oakland Raiders released Justin Fargas on Saturday according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
As with many of the releases around this time of year, Fargas was a causality of an impending roster bonus.
He was due a $1.7 million bonus.
“The Son of Huggy Bear” — as our friend Ballard from radio station BIG 100.3 in Washington, D.C. would call him — has played his entire seven-year NFL career with the Raiders.
He started just four games last season, but saw action in 12 while earning 491 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.
