LaDainian Tomlinson
It’s official. LaDainian Tomlinson is the newest member of the New York Jets.
Tomlinson and the Jets agreed to terms on a two-year contract on Sunday according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The former star of the San Diego Chargers had tentative visits scheduled with other teams this week, but decided that he had seen enough between the Minnesota Vikings, whom he visited on Thursday, and the Jets.
He is expected to backup Shonn Greene in New York, but should see a decent amount of playing time. Perhaps far more than he would have seen playing behind Adrian Peterson in Minnesota.
Jets coach Rex Ryan, who underwent weight loss surgery on Saturday, must have really impressed Tomlinson Friday night when the two went out to dinner with other members of the Jets organization.
