NY Jets are Backup Plan for Tomlinson

LaDainian Tomlinson

Back up plans are already in place for LaDanian Tomlinson if he does not sign with the Minnesota Vikings.

Tomlinson will meet with the New York Jets on Friday if a deal isn’t wrapped up with the purple and gold on Thursday according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Last night, we reported that the former San Diego stud is in Minnesota to visit with the Vikings today.

It’s an interesting choice for the Jets who didn’t want to pay $5.8 million for Thomas Jones in 2010.

L.T. may find more opportunities in New York as their running back situation isn’t quite as settled as it is for the Vikings with Adrian Peterson.

Interestingly, both teams will play the Chargers next season.
