NFL Opts Not Punish Michael Vick Following Shooting

Michael Vick

Michael Vick will not be punished by the NFL in regards to the shooting.

Michael Vick has nine lives.

The NFL cleared the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback following its investigation into the shooting at his 30th birthday party in Virginia Beach.

“There is no change in his playing status,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Daily News.

Vick, who was previously cleared by police in regards to the shooting, could have been subject to a suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

The troubled quarterback met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell who urged him to be more careful about the people he associates with following the shooting.

Vick is scheduled to report to Eagles training camp this afternoon.
