The 2010 NFL season being an uncapped year is “virtually certain” according to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

The commish stopped by the NFL Network set Sunday night at the Pro Bowl to talk about the CBA negotiations between the Players’ Association and the league.

“It’s looking virtually certain we’ll get to that point,” Goodell said of the probability 2010 will be an uncapped year.

Still, he’s not ready to say there will be a lockout in 2011.

“The real core message here is that we all want to get a fair agreement, for the players, for the owners, to allow the game to continue to grow,” he said. “There are conversations going on, that’s a positive step. But we’re all frustrated there’s not more progress.”
