At the combine, Redskins Head Coach Mike Shanahan said they plan to tender QB Jason Campbell which may keep him DC for at least one more year.
It is not known what the tender offer will be. The amount will determine what the Redskins get back if Campbell signs elsewhere.
Also Shanahan stated his son Kyle, the offensive coordinator, will call plays to whomever the team has under center.
Shanahan says they are still evaluating the team and did not specify if Campbell would be the starter if he comes back.
St. Louis Rams RB Stephen Jackson was on ESPN’s First Take and said if the Rams didn’t feel there was a clear cut number one pick they should trade down. “’cause we have so many things that we can use as an organization.”
Jackson did however say he was a big fan on Nebraska DT Ndamukong Suh and wouldn’t mind seeing him as Ram. “We have to wait on the combine to see how the guys pan out,” Jackson said. “But I’m definitely a fan of Ndamukong Suh. I hear he’s a great person, his family is unbelievable, and he’s definitely an impact player.”
