University of Texas football coach Mack Brown believes narcolepsy may have caused Sergio Kindle’s fall down two flights of stairs recently.

Kindle, a second-round draft pick of the Baltimore Ravens, fractured his skull during the fall and remains in the hospital.

The Ravens were aware that the Texas product was on medication for the condition as well as Attention Deficit Disorder prior to the draft according to Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun.

There had been reports that Kindle fell asleep during team meetings during OTAs and minicamp.

Narcolepsy is a neurological sleep disorder which causes people to fall asleep suddenly and at inappropriate times.

An estimated 200,000 Americans suffer from the disorder.
