Miami, Arizona, Maybe New Orleans and Tampa Want 2015 Super Bowl

Super Bowl XLII

Super Bowl XLII in Tampa (Hobson)

After the buzz and excitement surrounding the 2014 Super Bowl in New York died down, word quickly spread that it would be the usual contenders to host the event in 2015.

Arizona and Miami are among the first cities expected to bid on Super Bowl XLIX at next year’s spring owners meeting.

Tampa Bay, the final city to fall to the New York / New Jersey contingent on Tuesday, is yet to make up its mind about bidding on 2015 according to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press.

Meanwhile, New Orleans Saints Executive VP Dennis Lauscha is hoping to have the Superdome play host again.

Lauscha told the New Orleans Times-Picayune (via PFT) that the city will likely “get back in the race” next year or the year after for the 2016 Super Bowl.

The French Quarter is already scheduled to be flooded with football fans in 2013 for Super Bowl XLVII.
