Matt Moore said that he was shocked when he learned the Carolina Panthers dismissed Jake Delhomme recently.
He may have been shocked, but he is ready to be the man in “Flair Country.”
“From what they are telling me, yeah, I do feel like it’s my team now,” Moore said, per CarolinaGrowl.com.
There is still a possibility that the team will bring in another quarterback, but Delhomme’s backup welcomes the competition.
“I feel good right now regardless of whom they bring in,” he said. “That’s not to say there won’t be competition. There’s always competition … But am I threatened? Not really.”
