With the Detroit Lions signing both Kyle Vanden Bosch and Nate Burleson early in free agency, there is a common thread.
The coaches of the Detroit Lions are treating this like college recruiting by going to the homes of each player. Scott Linehan was in Seattle Thursday night to meet with Nate Burleson, took him out to dinner while Burleson’s agent and Lions president Tom Lewand hammered out the contract.
The five year deal with $11 million guaranteed reunites Burleson and Linehan who worked together in Minnesota and Nate had his best season in 2004.
