If the Cincinnati Bengals are going to beat the New York Jets in Saturday’s NFL playoff game, they are going to have to do it without running back Larry Johnson.
The team decided to place LJ on the inactive list because fellow running backs Cedric Benson and Bernard are fully healthy and ready to go.
Johnson was joined by seven teammates on the Bengals inactive list.
The Bengals also deactived running back Fui Vakaupuna, defensive back Tom Nelson, tight end Darius Hill, center Jonathan Luigs, wide receiver Jerome Simpson and defensive lineman Orien Harris.
Jordan Palmer, brother of Carson Palmer, will serve as the team’s third quarterback.
