John Elway is interested in becoming a minority owner of the Broncos.
Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway wants to become an owner of the team that he made a name for himself on.
Elway recently told Woody Paige of the Denver Post that he’d love to become a minority owner of the franchise.
“That’s always a possibility, but it really depends on what [Pat Bowlen] is going to do. Would I like to be a part owner? Yes,” Elway said.
While the Broncos would be ideal, he hasn’t ruled out the possibility of owning a portion of another franchise.
“I’d like for it to happen here,” the soon to be 50-year-old stated. “If not, and there is an opportunity somewhere else, I’d definitely look at that, too.”
Elway sold his lucrative car dealership franchise for $80 million, which affords him the opportunity to buy-in to the NFL game.
