The Washington Redskins have their eye on what could be one of their biggest free agent acquisitions of the year.
Linebacker Joey Porter will visit with the team on Thursday according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Porter is a natural in the 3-4 defensive scheme, which the Redskins will be implementing this season under defensive coordinator Jim Haslett.
Porter made a name for himself with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the system.
He visited the Arizona Cardinals last week, but did not sign a deal although he has not ruled it out completely.
