Jim Harbaugh
Jim Harbaugh’s agent is denying reports that his client is in talks with the Oakland Raiders to become their next head coach.
“There is no truth to the rumors that Jim Harbaugh or I have met with the Raiders,” Jack Bechta, Harbaugh’s agent, said per the National Football Post. “Further, Jim has not interviewed with nor been offered the head coaching job of the Oakland Raiders. Jim and Al [Davis] have a very special relationship full of mutual respect. However, the rumors circulating are absolutely false.”
Mike Florio of PFT is quick to point out the Bechta has partial ownership of NFP, so take the story with a grain of salt.
The Raiders continue to deny reaching out to Harbaugh or other coaching candidates.
However, the big name reporters who first broke the story are standing by their claims that the Raiders have reached out to a number of names, including Harbaugh.
Meanwhile, Tom Cable is still the head coach.
