Although the Cincinnati Bengals have already surpassed their scoring total from last week, they still trail the New York Jets 14-7 at halftime of the opening game of the NFL playoffs.

The game started with a bang for the Bengals, literally. Linebacker Rashad Jeanty broke his tibia on the opening kickoff and will miss the remainder of the season.

Quarterback Mark Sanchez has been effective for the Jets in the first half behind a 7-of-10 passing effort, 94 yards and a touchdown. He has not thrown an interception.

Shonn Greene had a strong first half carrying the ball, racking up 64 yards on nine carries and a score.

Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer was 8-of-14 passing for 48 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Cedric Benson has been the team’s offensive leader with 73 yards on the ground.

Chad Ochocinco has not caught a pass yet.
