The New York Jets and free agent safety Brodney Pool reached an agreement on a one-year deal Thursday evening.

The deal will pay the former Cleveland Brown $1.3 million next season according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Browns did not tender Pool making him eligible to sign with any team without compensation back to Cleveland.

There are some concerns about his health after suffering multiple concussion, including one that cut his 2009 season short.

However, doctors cleared him to return to the field in February.
