JaMarcus Russell
It appears that JaMarcus Russell is off the hook for skipping the Oakland Raiders’ year end team meeting and jetting off to Las Vegas instead.
Apparently Russell was in Sin City on official team business.
“JaMarcus was in Las Vegas, and he was there with a (Raiders staff member),” Raiders executive John Hererra said Wednesday per Oakland beat writer Jerry McDonald. “He was there for a legitimate reason.”
Raiders coach Tom Cable also previously cleared Russell’s absence from the meeting saying that he was excused for “personal” reasons.
