Jack Del Rio

Jack Del Rio will remain the Jacksonville Jaguars head coach for the 2010 season.

He was strongly rumored to be in the mix for the USC head coaching job, but will stay in the NFL instead according to SI’s Peter King.

The decision for the Jaguars to keep Del Rio in town was likely a financial one, although that is unconfirmed.

He has $15 million and three years left on his current contract.

In other Jaguars news, the team announced that they would lower ticket prices for the 2010 season in an effort to increase attendance at the stadium. Even while the team was in the playoff hunt late in the year, the Jaguars still had a hard time filling the stadium and avoiding television blackouts.
