Injuries Against 49ers Could Prove Costly for Raiders

The battle for Bay Area bragging rights could prove costly for the Oakland Raiders who saw two key offensive players go down with injuries Saturday night.

Jason Campbell was carted off the field in the second quarter after sustaining a stinger while taking a sack. He said that he will be fine after the game, but his status for Thursday’s preseason finale against the Seattle Seahawks remains unclear.

Perhaps more costly, however, was the fractured thumb suffered by running back Michael Bush.

Head coach Tom Cable informed reporters that Bush would visit a hand specialist Sunday to determine the severity of the injury.

Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune reported that the starting back needed help from Michael Bennett to tie his shoes following the game.
