Jim Sorgi will miss Monday's practice, putting his status for Thursday in doubt

Jim Sorgi stated last week that he was worried about not making the New York Giants roster because he has been limited by a shoulder injury.

Unfortunately for him, the limitations continue.

Sorgi will be held out of Monday’s practice, which puts his status for Thursday’s game against the New England Patriots in doubt according to Zach Berman of the Newark Star-Ledger.

The former Indianapolis Colt previously stated that he felt as though he had to play against the Patriots to make the squad.

“The closer we get, we’re going to have to make some calls,” Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said.

Second-year quarterback Rhett Bomar has taken over as New York’s No. 2 with Sorgi out.
